For the TIGSource Procedural Generation Competition due next week, my friend Greg and I have been working on a game where you surf on sine waves in an oscillator. More to come as we get nearer to the deadline but just posting a screenshot!

Spring 2008 Research Posted!

Posted on May 13th, 2008 by Raphael Mun

So as promised earlier during the week, I've put up the most interesting of my research papers for this semester. Go and take a look in the Articles section! My interests really do lie everywhere though, just as a warning. Hopefully some of the research might help someone else in the future as well.

I am graduating!

Posted on May 12th, 2008 by Raphael Mun

Just an update... it's been pretty hectic around here and final exams are wrapping up my last semester of undergraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon but I wanted to let everyone know that I am still here. I am planning to add a category of papers I researched and wrote so that other people might be able to learn from them, so keep an eye out in the next few weeks! And with that, graduation is this weekend. Looking forward to having much more free time!

treesuit: the game

Posted on April 5th, 2008 by Raphael Mun

So just a week ago, we released another game called TreeSuit!

This game's been in development for a little while now since the Fall and it is looking great! Go and try it! The official website is http://www.gamecreation.org/~treesuit
Taken directly from the site: "Treesuit is a 3D stealth adventure game in which you must sneak past guards to locate each level's boss and convince them to not harm the environment by challenging them to epic dance-offs."

Just a quick but long-needed update! My team just finished our game for the Game Development competition of Imagine Cup and so here is a teaser video of the game:

New Game In The Works!

Posted on February 8th, 2008 by Raphael Mun

Things just seem to keep piling up and getting busier! The older projects will slowly get migrate on here, I promise! In the meantime, a new Game Creation Society project's been just recently started and it will be something new for me. The title is "Where To Find Magical Apple Tree Essences?" and it will make much more sense as the project takes shape. In the meantime, check out the updates thread on the GCS forum here!

FreeRice.com Update!

Posted on January 28th, 2008 by Raphael Mun

It's been quite a busy couple of weeks since Spring semester just started up. However just wanted to update everyone that I am still here!
My sister found an interesting website called FreeRice.com so I thought I would share this with everyone
Each time you get a word correct on the quiz, you donate rice through the UN. Check it out!

SimpleCalc

Posted on January 12th, 2008 by Raphael Mun

One of my first programming projects is now up on the site! SimpleCalc! It's the 8.0 Version of the project and it is old but it still runs on Vista so that is good, right? Hope you enjoy!

More updates! Just for fun, a few days ago I started another raytracer and so one more project that is yet to be added to the projects section. An update is coming, I promise!
